The joy of a new morning is the hope of life. Even when there is nothing to hold on to, there should be something to look up to. But when there is nothing to look up to, then there’s nothing to rise up for.
Waking up each morning will be meaningless if there is nothing to look out for about the day. Without hope in life, living each day becomes miserable; but when we are hopeful, it doesn’t matter what may have happened the previous day —whether good or bad, each day will be to us fresh opportunity to lay hold on that which we hope for.
You know you are really living when the distinction of night and day matters less to you, and when you can’t wait to get up the next day and keep pushing on.
